CITIZENS OF OTHER NATIONALITIES REQUIRING VISA FOR BRAZIL
VISAS FOR ATHLETES/ARTISTS
THE ISSUE OR DENIAL OF A VISA IS THE ACT OF A SOVEREIGN
STATE.
The temporary visa III has to be authorized by the Ministry
of Labor and Employment of Brazil (www.mte.gov.br).
The institution or organization sponsoring the trip has
to submit a contract of employment to the Ministry of Labor and Employment
of Brazil. Once approved, the Ministry of Labor and Employment, through
the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil, authorizes to the Consulate
General of Brazil to issue the visa. (The contract of employment is not
required for a stay not longer than 90 days of sportsmen invited by sports
associations to attend sports events or competitions in Brasil; in this
case, please provide letter of sponsorship).
Once the visa is authorized, the name of the canditate
is included in the Consulate's web page: "Vistos autorizadas"
Documentation Required
- A passport, valid for at least 6 (six)
months and containing at least 2 (two) blank visa pages;
- Two recent individual passport size photograph
(2”x2”), front view, full face, taken against a light background;
- Two Visa Application Forms, duly filled-out and
signed, in original;
Note: A tourist visa will be granted to the participants
of sports competitions or artistic contests who will be not remunerated
in Brasil or do not get "cachet" from Brazilian sources, even
if they compete for prizes, including money.

For US citizens only, aa adicional processing fee is being charged in
reciprocity to identical fee paid by Brazilian citizens who apply for
a VISA for the U.S.A.
Note:
Artists and sportsmen entering Brazil with equipment necessary for their
performance must present to the Brazilian Customs a notarized letter,
legalized by the Consulate, listing the equipment and declaring that they
will be taken out of the country at the time of their departure from Brazil.
The notary's signature must be first legalized by Brazilian consular authorities
or by the Ministry of External Relations of Argentina.
