THE ISSUE
OR DENIAL OF A VISA IS THE ACT OF A SOVEREIGN STATE.
THE KIND OF VISA, IF GRANTED, AND
ITS VALIDITY ARE ALSO A SOVEREIGN DECISION OF THE CONSULATE GENERAL.
This Consulate may have
to keep the passport for analysis and/or consultation with Brazilian authorities.
TIME REQUIRED TO PROCESS A BUSINESS VISA: 3 working days.
Visa Requirements:
1) PASSPORT valid for at least six months;
2) 01 RECENT PASSPORT SIZE PHOTO (white
backgroud, no white clothes);
3) VISA
APPICATION FORM;
4) A ROUNDTRIP TICKET TO BRAZIL;
5) Two LETTERS, one FROM THE COMPANY
THAT YOU ARE VISITING IN BRAZIL(*) and another FROM THE COMPANY THAT YOU
WORK FOR (made on official company letterhead and signed by a high-ranked
official) STATING:
- the precise nature of business and activities
to be performed in Brazil and the applicant's employment status (job position
in the company);
- if applicant will receive any kind of payment in Brazil;
- the name of persons and/or companies the applicant will be contacting
(addresses and telephone numbers required);
- date of the trip;
- the length of stay in Brazil.
(*) The letter from the Brazilian
company must be written in Portuguese
Payment of a PROCESSING FEE: Click on "Emolumentos/Aranceles"
U.S. citizens are charged a processing
fee in reciprocity for fee charged to Brazilian citizens by U.S. authorities.
An additional fee will be charged for applications
made by third parties. The Consulate General may require a personal interview
with the applicant.
The Consulate General may ask for additional
information and/or documents deemed necessary.
