VISAS
BUSINESS VISA FOR BRAZIL (VISA TEMPORARIA II)

THE ISSUANCE OR DENIAL OF A VISA IS THE ACT OF A SOVEREIGN STATE.

THE KIND OF VISA, IF GRANTED, AND ITS VALIDITY IS A SOVEREIGN DECISION OF THE BRAZILIAN CONSULAR AUTHORITIES.

VISA REQUIREMENTS:

1) PASSAPORT, valid for at least 6 (six);

2) ONE RECENT PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOGRAFH (2”x2”), front view, full face, taken against a white background - no white clothing;.

3) Visa Application Forms: https://scedv.serpro.gov.br/frscedv/index.jsp
Print the form or write down the protocol number;

4) A ROUND TRIP TICKET TO BRAZIL

5) LETTER FROM THE EMPLOYER OR INSTITUTION (in company’s letterhead) to which the applicant is linked, stating:

- applicant’s name and title;
- purpose of the trip to Brazil;
- intended length of the stay in Brazil;
- the employer must take full financial responsibility for the applicant while in Brazil;
- name, address and telephone numbers of the contacts to be maintained by the applicant

If the applicant is self-employed, additional financial information will be required, such as credit card or bank references;

6) LETTER FROM THE COMPANY IN BRAZIL (in company’s letterhead), written in Portuguese stating:

.- applicant’s name and title;
- purpose of the trip to Brazil;
- intended length of the stay in Brazil;
- name, address and telephone numbers of the contacts to be maintained by the applicant

U.S. citizens are charged a processing fee in reciprocity for fee charged to Brazilian citizens by U.S. authorities.

An additional fee will be charged for applications made by third parties. The Consulate General may require a personal interview with the applicant.

The Consulate General may ask for additional information and/or documents as deemed necessary.

The Visa Section will not receive persons without an appointment.

Visas are processed in 72 hours or 3 working days, counted as from the payment of the consular fees.

The Consulate General does not provide express services.

Note: The maximum stay in Brazil is of 90 days, that can be extended for another 90 days. No foreigner can stay in Brazil for more than 180 days per year, counted as from the first entry in the country.
