AUTHORIZED VISAS BY THE MINISTRY OF LABOUR
AND EMPLOYMENT OF BRAZIL (MTE)
THE ISSUANCE OR DENIAL OF A VISA IS THE
ACT OF A SOVEREIGN STATE.
The Consulate General of Brazil in Buenos Aires has been
authorized to grant a visa to the persons listed bellow.
- Passport, valid for at least 6 (six)
months and containing at least 2 (two) blank visa pages;
- One recent individual passport size photograph
(2”x2”), front view, full face, taken against a white background -
no white clothing;

Print the form or write down the protocol number;
- Recent non-criminal record certificate (issued in
the last 90 days) issued by authorities in the country of residency
of the last 2 (two) years;
- recent non-criminal record
certificate ("Policía Federal Argentina" or "Registro
Nacional de Reincidencia")must be legalized by the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and Cult of Argentina.
- recent non-criminal record certificate
(issued in the last 90 days) issued in the country of origin or in
the country of previous residency. The document must be legalized
by Brazilian authority in the country of issuance.
- must present the "FBI Clearance",
legalized by Brazilian consular authorities with jurisdiction within
the city of issuance.

Carichi Pendenti", legalized by Brazilian consular
authorities with jurisdiction within the city of issuance.

- Foreigners residing in Brazil must present
the non-criminal record certificate issued by the Department of Federal
Police (on-line version: www.dpf.gov.br), with a proof of residency
in the country (passport with a visa and/or RNE)
Note: Temporary
visa V, for 90 (ninety) days, based in the "Resolução
Normativa no. 61/04 (art. 6o.) " - technical assistance - , are
exempt from presenting the non-criminal record.
Note 1: The non-criminal record is required for permanent and temporary
V visas only.

recent marriage or birth certificates
legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and
Cult of Argentina. The birth certificates must be issued from March
16, 2003. Photocopies of the "Libreta de Matriomonio" will
not be accepted.

the marriage certificates,
birth certificates (unabridged) and the criminal record certificate
must be legalized by Brazilian consular authorities in the country of
issuance. (except documents issued by French authorities).

must present the marriage certificate
(l'acte de marriage) and birth certificates (l'acte intégral
de naissance). Photocopies of the "Livret de Famille" will
not be accepted.
The certified photocopies of the marriage
certificates and birth certificates must be done after the legalization
of the original document by Brazilian consular authority in the country
of issuance.
Visa for minors: The
visa for minors must be applied for by both parents or by the father or
the mother duly authorized by the other parent. The authorization must
be legalized by Brazilian consular authority.
The Consulate General will not grant a visa for minors
who will reside in Brazil with only one parent if not duly authorized
by the other parent. The period of residence in Brazil must be stated
in the authorization (for example: permanently in the case of permanent
visas or 2 years or less in the case of temporary visas).
Documents: The
documents not written in Portuguese, Spanish, English or French must be
translated to Portuguese by a public translator (“tradutor público
juramentado") in Brazil , with the signature legalized by "cartório".
The document must be translated after being legalized by Brazilian consular
authorities.

The Consulate General will not accept birth certificates,
marriage certificates, certificates of cohabitation or criminal records
certificates that are not duly legalized.

The Consulate General can ask for additional
documents and/or information if necessary.

The application by third parties or agents ("despachantes")
is only accepted in the case of embarked sailors, with authorized visa
based on “Normative Resolution 72/06". In the other cases, the intrested
party must apply personally for his/her visa together with family members.
Note: Visa
applications for family groups will not be accepted without the presence
of all family members, including minors.
Note: Visa applications will not be accepted
for persons who are not in Argentina when applying for the visa.
THE CONSULATE GENERAL CAN ASK FOR ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS
AND/OR INFORMATIONS IF NECESSARY.
ARGENTINE DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING PHOTOCOPIES,
MUST BE LEGALIZED BY THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND CULT OF ARGENTINA.
ALL FOREIGN DOCUMENTS MUST BE LEGALIZED BY
BRAZILIAN CONSULAR AUTHORITY IN THE COUNTRY OF ISSUANCE (EXCEPT DOCUMENTS
ISSUED BY FRENCH AUTHORITIES ).
DOCMENTS NOT WRITTEN IN PORTUGUESE, SPANISH,
ENGLISH OR FRENCH MUST BE TRANSLTATED TO PORTUGUESE BY A PUBLIC TRANSLATOR
(“TRADUTOR PÚBLICO JURAMENTADO) IN BRAZIL , WITH THE SIGNATURE
LEGALIZED IN “CARTÓRIO”. THE TRANSLATION MUST BE MADE AFTER THE
DOCUMENT HAS BEEN LEGALIZED BY BRAZILIAN CONSULAR AUTHORITY.
ALL PHOTOCOPIES MUST BE DULY CERTIFIED AND
LEGALIZED.
Visas are processed in 72
hours or 3 working days, counted as from the payment of the consular fees.
Visas for embarked sailors will be issued in
5 (five) working days.
